How to create an account
Everything you need to know about signing up for Herpify — from choosing a username to verifying your email.
Sign up in under two minutes
Creating a Herpify account is free and takes less than two minutes. Go to herpify.com and click Sign up in the top navigation bar. You can register with your email and a password, or use your existing Google or Apple account for a one-click signup — no new password needed.
Choose your username carefully
Your username appears in your public profile URL (herpify.com/profile/your-username), in messages, and on your listings. Pick something that represents you or your operation — many breeders use their business name or a handle they already use in the hobby. Usernames are unique across Herpify and can only be changed once every 90 days, so choose well from the start.
Important note
Usernames are case-insensitive and can only contain letters, numbers, underscores, and hyphens. No spaces.
Verify your email address
After signing up, you'll receive a verification email at the address you provided. Click the link inside to verify your email. Until your email is verified, your account will have restricted access — you won't be able to post listings or contact sellers. If you don't see the email, check your spam folder, then use the "Resend verification email" option on your dashboard.
Complete your profile before listing
A complete profile dramatically increases buyer trust and inquiry rates. Before you post your first listing, add a profile photo, write a short bio, and set your country and city. Buyers are far more likely to contact sellers who look like real people with real operations. Think of your profile as your storefront — first impressions matter.
- Upload a clear profile photo (or your logo if you have one)
- Write a 2–4 sentence bio: what you keep, how long you've been in the hobby, your approach to animal welfare
- Set your location so buyers know which country and state you're in
- Add your website or social links if you have them
Free vs paid accounts
Every Herpify account starts on the Starter (free) tier. You can post up to 5 active listings, browse and favourite the marketplace, send and receive messages, and build your profile. If you're a more active seller or a professional breeder, the Trader and Breeder tiers unlock higher listing limits, priority placement, analytics, and the Verified Breeder badge.
